The Bourquin company as it is today started out in the 19th century in the form of straw husk manufacturer J. Bourquin-Rosselet. One generation later, Armand Bourquin founded Switzerland’s first corrugated cardboard factory in Val-de-Travers in 1905. The transformation into its current legal form took place in the 1960s following the name change to the general partnership of Armand Bourquin & Cie, and in 1997 to the current Bourquin SA.
Bourquin SA, based in Couvet, Oensingen and Schlieren, is one of the leading Swiss manufacturers of packaging solutions made from solid and corrugated cardboard. The family-owned company employs around 250 people at 3 locations (2 production sites). With a production capacity of over 40,000 tonnes or 80 million square metres of corrugated board per year, Bourquin SA is today one of the most efficient corrugated cardboard manufacturers and converters in Switzerland.
